Server Build Requirements
#

  • OS: Ferrex server is linux only for now.
  • Prerequisites: Cargo, Docker/Podman and ffmpeg required, just recommended.

Player Build Requirements:
#

  • OS: Linux, Windows, or MacOS, however, the native backend is only available on Wayland Linux for now.
  • Prerequisites: Cargo and gstreamer required, just recommended.
  • Hardware: A GPU and display stack capable of HDR if you want to exercise that path.

After just up
#

  1. Launch the desktop player and register your admin account.
  2. Point Ferrex at your media libraries (or launch the demo) and watch as movies and series stream in.
